RCS Business Messaging (RBM) deployments have been growing rapidly, with multiple operators worldwide planning commercial launches in 2019, and delivers a much needed multimedia upgrade to SMS messaging while maintaining its security and reliability. For the first time, the RBM MaaP layer has been designed with developers in mind by providing a set of standardized REST APIs to easily connect brands and chatbots onto the platform and facilitate access to the mobile network operator’s subscriber base for both A2P and P2A interactions.
This session with Rob Wijsman, Senior Pre-Sales Engineer at Mavenir provided an overview of the RCS service, it’s RBM MaaP architecture and describe the types of APIs available within the platform as well as presented some use cases of how RBM can enhance the brand-consumer engagement experience.
